HANKINSON, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The top dog in 9B pitched its sixth shutout of the season Friday night as LaMoure-Litchville/Marion rolled past Hankinson, 50-0.
The Loboes got out to a quick start, scoring 34 points in the first half against Hankinson. Brady Lettenmeier once again carried the bulk of the run game, rushing for 173 yards and a touchdown on 21 attempts. Tate Mart helped the ground game as well, scoring twice off of four carries for 38 yards. Mart also had a 42-yard punt return for a touchdown in the third quarter.
Starting quarterback Corban Potts went 8-13 passing for nearly 200 yards and two scores. Through seven weeks this season, Potts has thrown for 941 total yards and 17 touchdown passes. The senior also has a completion percentage of 70.5 on the year.
Defensively, Garrett Hebl was the leading tackler for the Loboes, picking up nine tackles, including three for loss. Brayden Steffes had another seven tackles, and Brock Wendel finished the night with five. LaMoure’s average margin of victory through seven games played this season is 60 points.
The Loboes are now 7-0 on the year, including a 4-0 overall record in Region 1. LaMoure wraps up its regular season next Friday at home against Enderlin/Maple Valley. The Falcons hold a 4-3 record this season and are currently on a three-game win streak.
