JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman United Way group is hopeful they’ll reach their fundraising goal this year.
United Way is a community impact organization that raises money for local community partners. It’s also an international network of over 1,800 local nonprofit fundraising affiliates.
Member Becky Kercher says their kick-off event Monday evening showcased the 12 different agencies they will be supporting in their 2021-2022 campaign.
Kercher added that the goal has been set and they have different events and ways to help raise awareness of their mission, campaign, and the much needed funding for the local agencies.
In their kick-off, the local United Way featured their agencies with different booths and games to help answer questions about their services while serving up free food and games.
Kercher says the board has dropped off fundraising packets around the area to collect donations from different businesses, but anyone wanting to make a contribution and help them reach their goal can visit jamestownunitedway.org, call 952-UWAY, or attend and support their planned events in the upcoming months.
She pointed out another way you can support the group; become a board member.
