GACKLE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Today, the National Park Service (NPS) has awarded seven grants totaling $1,351,768 for state and local recreation projects in North Dakota.
U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer is a Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee member.
The community of Gackle was one of the recipients for updates to the Gackle Little Park.
“The City of Gackle will remove the existing concrete courts, which are beyond repair, and install new courts for racket sports and basketball at Little Park,” the project scope states. “The multi-sport field/seasonal outdoor ice rink will be updated to create a more usable green space. A picnic shelter/warming house will be constructed with an accessible restroom.”
Gackle received $96,530 for the project.
