JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A hit and run accident was discovered in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 19th at Rollie Greeno Field.

The Jamestown Police Department reports an officer on patrol discovered the gate to the field on the south side of the stadium was lying on the ground.

“Upon further investigation, it appears the gate was struck by a vehicle, pushing the metal on the gate inwards, twisting and breaking off brackets, chain links and bolts,” the department states. “The height of the damage on the gate would suggest either a Pickup or SUV was involved.”

It’s not known if any damage or theft occurred inside the stadium.
