JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Humane Society reports that they continue to find forever homes for their animals while operating under the COVID-19 pandemic.

Board member Jay Nitschke says they recently found homes for several of their cats with more in the process.

Nitschke says they continue to operate under appointment only for the safety of their staff and animals.

Another service the Humane Society provides is the pet cemetery next to the shelter.

Those interested in burring their pet in the cemetery can contact Gary at 701-368-9649.

The shelter also has planned different fundraisers coming soon including the popular dealership competition.
