JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School Blue Jays had the honor of playing the first ever game on the new Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium and Rollie Greeno Field Friday, September 3rd.
The $11 million renovation began in October 2020 after the University of Jamestown and Jamestown Public School District reached a shared-use agreement. Numerous donations, fundraising, and a year of construction later, the field was put into action.

Roaldson added that it was important to note that the new stadium was not just for one entity or the other.
University of Jamestown Athletic Director Sean Johnson said it was exciting to see the Blue Jays get the first crack at using the new field.
Jarin Matheny, Voice of the Blue Jays and University of Jamestown Jimmies, marveled at the turnout for the first game of the year at the stadium.
Jamestown Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Rob Lech again reinforced the idea that this project is the culmination of planning and listening to the needs and wants of the community.
The University of Jamestown will get their first game at the new stadium on Saturday, September 11th against Mount Marty at 1 PM.
