JAMESTOWN, ND. (JimmiePride.com) – The University of Jamestown men’s golf team, backed by Tate Olson (SR/Cook, Minn.)’s 4-under 140, led wire-to-wire at the Jimmie Fall Invite, which concluded Monday at Jamestown Country Club.

JIMMIE FALL INVITE RESULTS

The Jimmie Orange team of Olson, Jackson Worner (JR/West Fargo, N.D.), Max Noffsinger (FR/Ft. Collins, Colo.), Jake Huculak (SO/Jasper, Alberta), and Benjamin Schaefer (SO/New Rockford, N.D.) finished with a combined team score of 25-over 601 (303-298) to win the team title by 22 shots over Minot State University.

Olson shot back-to-back round of 70 to finish 4-under and seven shots ahead of Worner, who ended at 3-over 147 (75-72).

Noffsinger tied for 11th at 12-over 156 (79-77), Huculak tied for 16th at 14-over 158 (79-79), and Schaefer tied for 22nd at 17-over 161 (80-81).

The Jimmie Black team took third at 49-over 625 (319-306), led by Treyton Forsman (SR/Lewiston, Idaho)’s 6-over 150 (76-74). Forsman placed fifth.

Gehrig Geiss (FR/Glen Ullin, N.D.) tied for ninth at 11-over 155 (82-73), Tomas Garcia (FR/Vigo, Spain) tied for 14th at 13-over 157 (80-77), Carter Wells (JR/Huron, S.D.) tied for 28th at 20-over 164 (81-83), and Carter Janssen (JR/Rapid City, S.D.) tied for 33rd at 23-over 167 (85-82).

Individually, Bridger Hansen (FR/Wahpeton, N.D.) tied for 22nd at 17-over 161 (82-79), Adam Nedens (JR/Billings, Mont.) was 46th at 35-over 179 (90-89), and Jed Truax (FR/Jamestown, N.D.) was 47th at 37-over 181 (91-90).

Next up for the Jimmies is the Mount Mercy Invite in Marion, Iowa, at Hunters Ridge GC on September 11-12.
