FESSENDEN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Carrington Cardinals win in straight sets over the Harvey/Wells County Hornets on Tuesday night 3-0 (25-12, 25-12, 29-27). Carrington improves to 1-0 on the early season.
The first set was all Carrington, as they jumped out to an early 5-0 lead and never looked back. In set two, the Cardinals pulled away later in the set as there were six ties early on. In an exciting set three, the Cardinals and the Hornets had seven ties, 2, 3, 8, 24, 25, 26 and 27. Carrington fought their way back from being down 19-11 and get the victory in extra’s. Senior Sydnie Grager led way for Carrington with 10 kills and three stuff blocks unofficially. Emma Hone added seven kills, four aces and five blocks. Haley Wolsky had two aces, and five kills.
Next up for Carrington will be on Thursday night at home against Thompson. KDAK will have the coverage starting about 630pm.
