VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Vote Equality Van was in Jamestown and Valley City collecting a few more signatures and to give an update on the efforts underway to pass the 28th Amendment, the Equal Rights Amendment.
The lavender colored motor home stopped by for a couple of hours in the parking lot near the VCSU footbridge on Friday, August 27th afternoon talking about the importance behind the 28th Amendment.
Valley City State University professor Kelly LaFramboise is the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at VCSU. She said it’s important to educate the country about voting rights and equality.
LaFramboise said the effort by this group is a great way to raise awareness for the 28th Amendment for students and the community.
The motor home driver, Jessica Kujala is a VoteEqualityUS Co-Founder. She said she hopes that those who sign their name on the vehicle will share their passion for getting the 28th Amendment added to the U.S. Constitution.
