VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Hi-Liners boys varsity tennis team takes down Wahpeton 7 to 2 to pick up their first win of the 2021-22 campaign.

Singles:
- Seth Zeltinger defeated David Comings 6-2, 6-4
- Kai Kringlie defeated Andrew Withuski 6-2, 6-0
- Trey Cope defeated Matt Comings 2-6, 6-4, 10-4
- Alex Rogelstad lost to Alex Comings 6-1, 6-1
- Casey Kruger defeated Garnett Anderson 6-1, 7-5
- Max Magnuson defeated Carter St.Aubin 3-6, 7-5, 10-2
Doubles:
- Zeltinger/Kringlie defeated D.Comings/M.Comings 6-1, 6-2
- Cope/Rogelstad lost to Withuski/A.Comings 7-6(0), 6-0
- Kruger/Miles Taylor defeated Anderson/St.Aubin 6-1, 6-1
“It was a joy to watch our team today; the sportsmanship and teamwork were already in mid-season stride. Wahpeton is much improved and we had tight matches all the way around. It easily could have been a 5-4 loss today. Kudos to Wahpeton’s players and coaching staff – it was a very fun match to play today.” Coach Nielson, happy with the teams performance.
JV went 8-2 today for their first match of the season.
