JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Over 700 smiling, sleepy-eyed teens made their way to the Jamestown High School as their summer had official come to a close.

Jamestown High School Principal Adam Gehlhar welcomed back students with fist bumps and well-wishes for the seniors and incoming freshmen Thursday morning.

He says it’s nice to have some normalcy in this years return after 2020 in-school learning was derailed due to COVID-19.

Principal Gehlhar says they have a few new things for their students at the High School this year.

Senior Monica Ripplinger is not only excited to be a senior this year, but she says it’s a good feeling to walk into the school on what is her last-first day of High School.

She says she looks forward to providing senior leadership for her fellow underclassmen.
