JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Moment of Freedom (AMOF) has been providing their unique horse therapy program for those with special needs.
Annie Keffeler is the founder of the program, which has been in operation since 2019. It is one of only a few programs that dedicates itself solely to helping those with disabilities in the nearby vicinity and looks for tremendous growth in the future.
Operating as a non-profit, Keffeler says they rely on their volunteers and fundraising efforts to continue the equine therapy. One of their biggest has been the annual Barn Dance on August 21st.
Keffler added there will be live and silent auctions, raffle items including a pistol, and food trucks on site at the Stutsman County Fairgrounds. Tickets are available at the door for $8, under 18 for $5, and kids 5 and under get in free. All proceeds will benefit A Moment of Freedom.
Doors for the event open at 6 PM.
