JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Numerous law enforcement agencies across North Dakota are represented at the 109th Annual North Dakota Peace Officer Association (NDPOA) taking place in Jamestown through Friday this week.
Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser estimates that between 200 to 250 police officers, sheriff’s deputies, and more are in town for the annual meet.
Kaiser pointed out that the agencies come together annually as a way to meet one another, connect, and train. He says the NDPOA is held in different communities across the state.
The 109th was originally supposed to take place last year in Jamestown, but he says it was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Events are being held at the Jamestown Civic Center and around the community through Friday.
