JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Since 2007, Prairie Paws Rescue of Jamestown has provided the unique foster home system for animals.
Co-founder and organizer Kaye John says they wanted to create the group to have a more local presence that others could be involved with.
She says their adoption fee has remained steady at $150 plus tax, adding they’ve kept the fees low to ensure the animals are able to find permanent homes at an affordable rate.
Now in 2021, John says they continue their care and the need keeps growing.
John says the non-profit handles food, shots, kennel panels, temporary fencing, veterinarian visits, and more. This is the case until animals can be adopted.
To keep funding their mission, Prairie Paws Rescue will be hosting their Splash & Dash Dog Wash this Saturday, August 14th from 10 AM to 1 PM at RM Stoudt in Jamestown. There will be small kiddie pools for dog washes and nail trimmings will also be available. Food will be served and all free-will donations will go towards Prairie Paws Rescue.
John says they’ll also have some animals for a join meet & greet.
