JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – As the James River Humane Society and staff continue to work during the pandemic, adoptions have remained steady for their animals.

Humane Society Board Member Jay Nitschke says they’ve operated strictly by appointment only to keep staff and their animals healthy and safe.

Nitschke also reminds pet owners that when the outdoor air quality is poor, keep your pets in mind.

“If you can’t handle the air quality outside, neither can your pets,” Nitschke stated.

The Humane Society is also planning a taco bar in October to help raise funding for the non-profit.
