JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Families are already planning their back to school needs and for some, the struggles it brings with it.
To help alleviate this, the Buffalo Mall has paired up with Community Action Region VI and Gate City Bank to collect school supply donations that will be distributed to kids and families in need.
Buffalo Mall Manager Bev Dawson says the program began July 25th and will continue through Sunday, August 15th.
Dawson added that they have school supply lists available at their donation sites. She encourages anyone who may be out shopping to purchase an extra pack of pencils or that extra notebook so it may help one of the many who need it.
From those sites, the donated supplies will then go to Community Action Region VI for distribution. She added that the program has made a big difference for many families last year.
In less than three days, Dawson says they’ve already received many donations.
Those who need assistance are encouraged to contact Community Action Region VI at 701-252-1821 beginning August 16th. If you have questions about Stuff the Bus, contact Bev Dawson at 701-251-2237.
