lamoure-4

BOTTINEAU, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – LaMoure’s offense had its struggles against Hazen’s starting pitcher Tyson Wick. He went five-and-two-thirds innings and didn’t allow a single walk or run while allowing nine hits and striking out six batters.

LaMoure’s shortstop Gunner Thielges was 2-4 with two singles in the first and second innings. He also made a couple of great defensive plays including a spectacular diving play and flipped the ball over to second base while sitting down. Catcher Owen Lesko went 2-4 with two singles as well and so did right-fielder Dustin Ketterling. Starting third baseman Mason Warcken left the game with an injury in the top of the first inning and Colby Thielges filled in well and went 2-3 with two singles. Left-fielder Avery Kramer got a single in the third inning of this game as well.

Max Musland started on the mound for LaMoure and he did a great job painting the corners. Other than the four runs he gave up in the first inning, he mowed down Hazen batters. He ended up going five-and-two-thirds allowing three walks, nine runs and four earned runs. Musland also got a single in this game as well.

LaMoure will play again tomorrow at noon on Q101 with pregame starting ten minutes before first pitch.
