ELLENDALE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 10 year-old boy was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Ellendale Friday night.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that at around 7:17 PM, a Dodge Intrepid was traveling eastbound on 3rd Street S. A juvenile was riding a bicycle traveling south on 2nd Avenue S.

The Intrepid entered the intersection just as the juvenile did, striking the boy on the bicycle. The boy landed on the hood of the car and went to the ground. He was transported by Ellendale Ambulance to Aberdeen for treatment of his injuries.

The 64 year-old Intrepid driver was not injured and charges are under investigation.

The NDHP was assisted by the Ellendale Police Department, Dickey County Sheriff’s Department, Ellendale Ambulance, and Ellendale Fire Department.
