JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Road Diet project is essentially complete, according to City Engineer Travis Dillman.
In his report submitted to the Jamestown Public Works Committee, Dilman says striping on the project is mostly done, planters are mostly complete, and miscellaneous punch list and clean up items remain.
Engineering Tech Tyler Michel says one of these items are placed bike racks along 1st Avenue.
Michel says they’re currently working on fine details on who will water the plants along the road for the one year warranty.
In the 2021 City Curb and Gutter District information, there’s still more work to do with seal coat set to be done by September 1st.
Councilmember Dave Steele stated that things are looking nice in the Klaus Park area after curb and gutter was installed.
Michel added that work had been completed behind Wilhelm’s and Taco Bell and they would be moving up Mill Hill for the rest of the project.
In other work, Water Main improvement continues along 17th Street SW frontage roads. Pipes are being fused and directionally drilled.
