JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Lead-off man Grady Shipman was 5-for-5 at the plate with five singles, an RBI and scored once to help Post 25 get the victory over Sheyenne/New Rockford Post 30 6-1 Thursday evening in the District 4 Championship game. Carrington improves to 8-3 overall and SNR ends their season at 16-5 overall.

The Blacksox had the 1-0 lead after four innings, but Post 25 put up six runs in the top of the sixth and hold SNR scoreless through two innings to get the championship for the sixth time in eight years. Carrington Post 25 will advance to the State Class B Legion Baseball Tournament for the seventh time in eight years.

Carrington will play in Oakes starting Thursday, July 29th in the State B Tourney.
