JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Rural firefighters responded to three separate grass fires in the area over the weekend.
Jamestown Rural Fire District Chief Brian Paulson said a farm implement sparked a grass fire on Saturday, July 17th west of Jamestown. He said several fire districts were called in to help put down the grass fire that burned about 40 acres.
On Friday, July 16th firefighters responded to a grass fire near Sanborn, rural Fire Chief Tim Schwehr said no injuries or structure damage was reported in that grass fire.
And north of Sanborn near Rogers, North Dakota, firefighters responded to a grass fire on Friday and Saturday. Dazey Rural Fire District Chief Daryl Kunze said no injuries or structure damage was reported in these grass fires.
