CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – For the first time in over a year, Foster County has reported zero COVID-19 cases.

“Looking back through our numbers, we officially have had no active cases since May 23rd,” states Amber Kruse with Foster County Public Health.

“The new strains are in ND, so continue to continue to be NDSmart,” she added. “Encourage people to get vaccinated.”

Vaccination numbers have leveled off in Foster County, with roughly 86.8% of adults 65 years and older having received at least one dose. 58.5% of those 12 years and older have also received at least one dose of the vaccine.
