(NewsDakota.com) Carrington Post 25 scored the first run of the ballgame in the top of the first, but the Sheyenne/New Rockford Black Sox scored the next 10 runs and go on to win 12-2 in six innings, winning by 10-run mercy rule. Carrington drops to 5-2 overall and 5-2 in District 4 play, SNR improves to 11-2 overall and 5-1 in District 4 play.
SNR had 13 total hits off starter Austin Trelstad and reliever Noah Paulson, Caden Price, Alex Harrison, Nic Berglund, Koby Duda and Luke Yri all had two hits each. Starter Alex Harrison worked all six innings, allowed two runs, five hits, seven k’s, no walks and one hit batter.
Next up for Carrington will be on Wednesday, July 7th in Carrington against the Jamestown Blues for another District game, Thunder Country 98.3 will have the game starting at 1pm.
