JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 41st Annual Little Britches Fishing Tournament was held on June 19th in Jamestown, put on by the Dakota Anglers.

First, Thank you for your patience! Second, we are absolutely blown away by the support we receive every year for this tournament and want to sincerely thank you all for participating and making this tournament as fun as possible! We want to extend our gratitude towards the volunteers and sponsors that keep things running and continue to make this day a reality!
Picture perfect weather made for a great day and a wonderful turnout of 86 teams!
(Age class – Team, Points)
0-6 – Kaison Thielges and Dave Odin won with 90.80 points. These familiar faces edged out the second-place team of Axel Nordquist and Ben Nordquist by just 4.35 points (about half a pound). Well done to this Grandson/Grandfather duo!
7-10 – Karter Lang and Travis Ganse won with 119.92 points. An impressive day securing the top overall score. Karter’s smile told the whole story! The second-place team housed a couple common Little Britches names: Ayden Thielges and Brett Thielges with 82.54 points.
11-13 – Kade Nitschke and Jeff Nitschke won with 95.69 points. Our second-best overall score of the day! Way to go! Coming in second with 25.03 points was the tandem of Brody Hanson and (need name for partner).
14-16 – Mataya Lunzman and Trenton Jacobson won with 83.76 points. A great day in the boat and a job well done! Second-place finishers were Rider Rudnick and (need name for partner) with 1.32 points!
Biggest rough fish went to Tucker Chadduck (13.89 lb bigmouth buffalo). If you’ve ever hooked into one of these giants, you know they are a handful to land!

It was great to be able to host this event to its full extent this year! Great job to all the kids and families that participated. As the smiles indicate, this event is about more than bragging rights. It’s about a connection with with family, friends, and the outdoors.
Remember; every chance you get, take a kid fishing!
