A crowd enjoys one of the many 2019 Downtown Arts Markets
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Each Thursday in Jamestown starting June 24th will have music, art, and fun for all during the Downtown Arts Market.
Hosted by the Jamestown Arts Center, the best of regional, live entertainment will fill the Hansen Arts Park. Arts Center Executive Director Mindi Schmitz says bring a lawn chair or blanket and prepare for live music this Thursday with Jessie Veeder and Retro Entertainment.
The market also features artisan vendors and brings participants downtown all summer on Thursdays.
This year’s market has a special kick-off with Chalkfest, which brings nationally renowned chalk artist Shawn McCann accompanied by eight other artists from around the country.
While the event begins Thursday, Schmitz says it will continue Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and is free to all. Talking to lead artist Shawn McCann, Schmitz says they’re encouraging “budding artists” to join them downtown for the event.
