The trap team placed 3rd in the conference out of 8 teams. The trap team had a great state tournament placing 3rd against some of the best teams in the state. The goal was a state title and we were three targets away. Our top shooters shined on a beautiful day to shoot. Evan Mielke led our team with a 49/50 and a 49/50 for a 98/100 for the day and placing 2nd overall. Mitchell Broadwell shot a perfect 50/50 in his first round of shooting then shot a 46/50 for a 96/100 and placing 8th. Next was Ethan Bear with a 48/50 and a 46/50 for a 94/100 placing 15th. Emma Mielke shot a 47/50 and a 46/50 for a 93/100 placing 2nd in the female division. Kailer Logan shot 46/50 and a 45/50 for a 91/100 and placed 34th.
A few notables to mention. Bodi Haglund shot a 90/100 and had a wonderful state tournament. Talon Larson shot an 86/100 and had a great first 50 shooting 46/50. Jack Lerud shot a 72/100 and had a great day. Conner Remick with an 89/100 was a great day for him and he had a perfect 25/25 in his first round. I know I missed some but again we had many personal bests and it was a great day!
I want to personally thank all of the volunteers that help coach, score, and assist with many things at our trap club. These volunteers work very hard for no pay and put in many hours with the young adults we have shooting on our team. This team and our program would not run like it does without all of them putting the time in they do. If you are interested in volunteering in our program please contact Trevar Hansen and we will get you on the coaching staff.
