VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Public School Board accepted the resignation of board member Jamie Sylling during their regular board meeting on June 14th. Sylling had to resign being she and her family are moving out of the school district. School board members thanked Sylling for her dedicated service.
The school board voted to appoint an individual to fill out the remain year left on her three year term being the position is up for election in June of 2022.
Valley City Public School District Superintendent Josh Johnson talked about three options the school board had under North Dakota Century Code and with the North Dakota School Board Association.
The Valley City Public School Board will name the new interim board member at their annual meeting in July.
