VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The top of a power pole in Valley City broke and caught on fire Sunday afternoon about 3:40pm on June 20th. Firefighters were called to the back parking lot of the Valley City movie theater on west main.
City Electrical Supervisor Marshall Senf said the jumper wire fell onto the cross arm and sparked a fire on the power pole. He said the cause of the failure may have been due to the age of the power pole. No injuries reported.
