VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – More than 300 young women are in Valley City attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Young Women Encampment on the campus of Valley City State University.
The women volunteered to work on a few summer projects in the city on June 17th. One of those was helping distribute mulch to several tree bases in the Hi Line Prairie Gardens Community Orchard on 6th Avenue Northeast in Valley City.
Bonnie Cordon is the Young Women’s General President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She talked about the focus of the three day encampment and what these young women hope to accomplish.
The last time the Young Women Encampment was held in Valley City was back in 2017.
