JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission received an update on the community corrections program in the county.

Sarah Frohlich has been with the program for three years. Earlier this year, Frohlich informed the City of Jamestown that they were working to enter another Community Service Administration Agreement.

In a presentation to the county Tuesday, Frohlich stated they would like to renew their agreement with Stutsman County.

Frohlich added that the case numbers were increasing and more cases were rising in the level of offense.

The program had 994 hours ordered in 2020, but due to COVID, those numbers were slightly down. In 2021 so far, there have been 436 hours ordered through June.

No decision was made, but further information will be learned during the county’s budgeting process.
