OAKES, N.D. (NDHP) – 33 year-old Douglas Cavalier of Britton, South Dakota died in a one vehicle rollover on Highway 11 about 4 miles southeast of Oakes.

The Highway Patrol said Cavalier was driving a vehicle on Highway 11 at a high rate of speed. He lost control of the vehicle around mile marker 109, entered the ditch, over corrected and rolled the vehicle about 1:30am on June 13th. Cavalier was ejected from the vehicle and sustained life ending injuries.

According to the news release, alcohol and drugs were a factor in the crash which remains under investigation with the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
