KANSAS CITY, MO. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown’s Kat Miska earned NAIA Honorable Mention All-American status on Tuesday as announced by the league office.
Miska was dominant in the circle all year long for Jamestown, compiling an overall record of 17-3 on the season with an ERA of 1.24. The junior was named the GPAC Pitcher of the Year after leading the conference in both ERA and strikeouts. Miska recorded 223 strikeouts in just 130 total innings pitched, and held opponents to a .175 batting average.
The Jimmies finished the year with a 34-14 overall record and a 15-7 mark in the GPAC for the 2021 season. UJ made it to the tournament semifinal before falling to the eventual tournament champion Midland.
