JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The annual Alpha Opportunities Inc. Gator Crawl is poised to return this June.

The non-profit has been serving the Jamestown area for numerous years, helping provide 24-hour services in four group homes while continuing residential support to more than 50 others who live in their own homes and apartments.

Amy Sjostrom says the organization relies on grants and fundraising to continue their services. They created the Gator Crawl in 2014 to raise funds, while raising awareness about their organization.

The crawl begins at the Jamestown Island at 5:30 PM and participants will follow gator signs to complete their laps. There will be an opportunity to register for gator prizes at each “swamp stop.” The cost to register is $20 and that includes the t-shirt and meal following the crawl.

Sjostrom says the event is not a raise, but you can complete as many laps as you’d like.

Those interested in signing up can stop at the Alpha Opportunities, Inc. offices at 1521 Business Loop East Jamestown or call Amy Sjostrom at 701-252-0162 ex. 113.
