It was a warm day for Day 2 at the 2021 NDHSAA Boys Class B State Golf Tournament in Carrington. Oakes was able to move slightly up the leaderboard in their final day thanks to some improved performances in the final round.

As a team, Oakes improved by five strokes on Day 2 as they shot 354 as a team to move up a spot to 14th out of the 18 teams that competed for the state title. Oak Groves locked up first place after shooting a minuscule team score of just 290 (-2) in the first round. From there, it was their title to lose as they finished the final round with a 306.

Individually, Conor Schall finished first on the team and tied for 53rd in the tournament with a total score of 173 and an 86 yesterday. Andrew Hill shot six strokes better yesterday with an 85, which was the team’s low, and finished with a 176 to tie for 64th overall. Marc Seyer, who shot the team’s low on Tuesday, finished with a 178 which tied him for 72nd. Garret Meehl made improvements to lower his score by eight strokes to 89 and finished with a 186 which tied him for 92nd. Dalton Schmit finished with a 203 placing him tied for 117th and Dylan Harris made the biggest improvement on the second day lowering his score by ten strokes to finish with a 214 which placed him tied for 123rd.
