JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Area Chamber AgEnergy Committee will be co-host to a regional Midwest Energy Summit to discuss recent national crises in the energy industry, hear diverse perspectives regarding the future of the Midwest’s energy, power supply and grid reliability and to understand how it affects every business, community and individual.
Jamestown Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Emily Bivens.
All interested community, business and affected industry leaders are invited to this event, which will take place on Tuesday, June 8, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Fargo and can also be viewed via livestream. Speakers will include energy industry experts and executives from the Upper Midwest, Washington, D.C., Texas and Florida, as well as federal and state elected officials representing Minnesota and North Dakota.
This half-day summit will be energized by TED-style talks and panel discussions on various energy topics, concerns, issues, approaches, regulations and solutions to how we power our nation, states and communities today and into the future.
“This is going to be a big deal; we are excited to bring thought leaders and experts from all over the country to our community and to dive into this critical topic. We also have 13 partnering chambers from across the Midwest that are co-hosting the livestream of this event in an effort to inform and engage as many of their own area business leaders as possible on this important subject,” remarked FMWF Chamber President & CEO Shannon Full.
The event will be hosted in Fargo, but can be attended virtually.
The full agenda and list of speakers is available on the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber’s website at fmwfchamber.com.
