BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Senior Brooks Carroll led the way for Jamestown on Tuesday at the West Region Tournament by shooting an 85 as the Jays finished seventh with a score of 347.
Andrew Walz took second for the Jays, shooting an 87 and the three other Jamestown golfers shot below 95. No Blue Jays were able to qualify for the state tournament which takes place next week beginning on Tuesday at Hawktree Golf Course in Bismarck.
Jamestown ended just six strokes behind Legacy who took fifth place with a score of 341. Minot was crowned the champion of the West Region Tournament, shooting a 306 as a team, and Gavin Argent was the All-Around Tournament Champion with a score of 69.
