(NAFB) – Over the weekend, the JBS Food’s computer systems were compromised, and in response, the company has been shutting down meat processing facilities around the globe, including here in the United States.
Veterinarian Jim Lowe from the University of Illinois has this perspective on the potential impact of the cyberattack.
JBS Foods provides more than 206 million 4-ounce servings of protein around the planet every day. It is the second-largest supplier of each of the three primary meats in the United States: beef, pork, and poultry.
