JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Headaches are a common health problem that most people experience.
Nick Schmidt with Sanford Health that the common headache can happen at any time.
Research also finds about 1 in 20 people experience a headache every day. Schmidt says healthcare professionals continue to learn about the common headache and research the many ways they can occur.
A variety of things can trigger a headache from emotional stressors, depression, or anxiety. They can also happen due to medical reasons such as a migraine or high blood pressure and physical reasons such as an injury.
Schmidt says lifestyle can also contribute.
While many may have their own way to deal with a headache, Schmidt says there are a variety of other ways they can address this health issue.
Other ways include low impact exercises, avoiding teach clenching, staying hydrated, sticking to sleep schedules, and even consulting your chiropractor.
Schmidt added that keeping a headache journal or log is another way individuals can monitor and track the reason their headaches occur.
