VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Motorists are dealing with a number of detours in Valley City during the annual road reconstruction project season.

Valley City Administrator Gwen Crawford said the 5th Avenue Northwest street improvement project is nearly finished. The road is now open to motorists.

But she said a number of other projects including Streetscape II along Main Street and Central Avenue is underway.

The drier spring has allowed contractors to get a jump start on their work this year. Crawford talked about a few road construction detours to be aware of this year in the city.
