VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A statue of a firefighter near a granite stone with the names of honorary volunteers who served in Valley City since 1895 is now on display at the Fire Hall.
Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said it’s a way to honor past, present and future firefighters.
He said the firefighter statue was made in Minnesota. Two local men helped with this project.
Magnuson said the Firefighters Honorary Dedication ceremony will be held June 19th at noon during the annual Rally in the Valley at the entrance of the Fire Hall all are welcome to attend.
A Brass Bell made in North Carolina will also be a part of the dedication area in front of the Valley City Fire hall.
