JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Central Valley Health provided a summary of the previous year to the Stutsman County Commission Tuesday evening.

Central Valley Health Unit Administrator Robin Iszler stated she was thankful for her staff and the county who worked tirelessly through 2020 to respond to the pandemic.

Iszler says more than 8,200 COVID tests were given in Logan & Stutsman County, which continues at their offices. She says the pandemic also grew their social media presence, allowing them to reach a wider audience with their information.

Iszler says communication through the pandemic was extremely important for them. She added that keeping a timeline for the year was also key.

Iszler says vaccinations and COVID will continue to be a focus as they move through 2021.

Herd immunity will be reached once 70% of the county population is vaccinated for COVID-19.
