JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown man linked to a stabbing that happened on May 2nd in Jamestown has been arrested.

On May 15th, Jamestown Police received an anonymous tip giving them the whereabouts of Timothy Ost. The tip led officers to the area of the 1000 block of 10th St. SE in Jamestown.

“Officers responded and located Ost,” Major Justin Blinksy reports. “Ost had an active warrant for his arrest related to another incident. He was arrested for that warrant without incident and transported to Corrections.”

After further investigation into the Aggravated Assault incident on 5/2/2021, 47-year-old Timothy Allen Ost has been arrested on suspicion of Aggravated Assault and Burglary related to that incident. He is being held at the Stutsman County Correctional Center awaiting formal charges.

“The Jamestown Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance with locating the person of interest in this case,” Major Blinsky added.

Ost allegedly entered a home in Sunnyside Trailer Court and stabbed a sleeping man while making terroristic threats before leaving the area on a black bicycle.
