LAMOURE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Junior Landon Piehl threw a no-hitter through five innings Monday night to help the Loboes defeat the Carrington Cardinals 9-1 in Class B Region 3 Baseball. LLM improves to 13-1 overall and 9-1 in R3, Carrington drops to 9-7 overall and 6-4 in R3.

Ethan Buskness hit a single to left to break the no-hit bid in the top of the sixth, and later scored on a single from Michael Clifton. Piehl gets the victory, working all seven innings, 101 pitches, one earned run, eight strikeouts, two walks and four hit batters. Junior Lucas Hendrickson suffers the loss, working four innings, five runs, three earned, two strikeouts. Ethan Buskess worked two innings in relief. At the plate for LLM, Garrett Hebl was 3-for-4, with a single, two doubles and three RBI.
