VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The CDC has changed guidance for fully vaccinated individuals (2 weeks after the final dose of vaccine). CDC now says that individuals who are fully vaccinated, no longer have to mask in public, unless required by a specific businesses or transportation companies.

City County Health District Administrator Theresa Will said if you are fully vaccinated, you can resume activities that you did prior to the pandemic.

She said the CDC said, fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.

Will said COVID-19 numbers have decreased steadily across the state and in Barnes County.

Earlier this week the CDC also approved of the Pfizer vaccine for kids 12 to 15. She said City County Health District will get a survey of how many vaccines will be needed in Barnes County for children in this age group.

Will said anyone interested in receiving a COVID-19 Moderna or Johnson and Johnson vaccine can walk-in to the City County Health District in Valley City from 9am to 4:30pm Monday thru Friday.

She said businesses interested in setting up a vaccination clinic for their employees should call the City County Health District office at 845-8518.
