CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Carrington received their annual financial report Monday, May 10th.

Carrington Mayor Tom Erdmann says they got the latest report from Harold Rotunda, CPA and found the city to be in good financial standing.

He added that the good standing was important with future projects on the horizon for the city.

In other city news, Erdmann says they’ve started a new program for those who establish a new structure in the city.

Erdmann says the city will also be working with Emergency Management to update their mitigation plans.

In the Carrington Police Department, Erdmann says they’re staffed with four officers and still seeking a new chief of Police. He says Sheriff Justin Johnson has also been assisting the city.

Through the month of June, Mayor Erdmann says they’ll begin scoping their sewer system.

The next regular council meeting will be June 14th at 7:30 PM.
