FOREST CITY, IA. (vcsuvikings.com) – The NSAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships are being hosted by Waldorf University on Thursday and Friday. The top three finishers in each individual event, and the top two relay teams, earn All-Conference honors.

Valley City State enters the meet with several individuals vying for conference titles. Zachary Co (shot put) and Kyle Odegard (javelin) are both ranked first in their respective men’s events, and Co is also ranked second in hammer throw.
On the women’s side, Peyton Halverson (javelin) and Allyssa Weitkum (3000 steeplechase) are both ranked first in the NSAA this season. Brooke Malsom is ranked second in the 200 meters and long jump, Taylor Sargent is second in high jump, and Hannah Gordon is second in shot put.
Events start at 3 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. on Friday. The meet is being held at Bolstorff Field and Beebe Track (John K Hanson) Drive in Forest City.
VCSU’s Zachary Co (shot put, hammer throw) and Kyle Odegard (javelin) have already qualified to compete at the NAIA National Championships from May 26-28 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
