JAMESTOWN, N.D. (UJ) – University of Jamestown is hosting a free SmartLab Camp this summer for students in the community. The camp will take place on July 8 for students in grades 3-5 and on July 9 for grades 6-8, both from 9 a.m. until noon.
SmartLab Learning programs engage students in project-based learning with a STEM focus. The camp will take place in UJ’s SmartLab, a fully integrated learning environment where everything—from the furniture and technology, to curriculum and assessment—works together to support hands-on, minds-on learning.
“Our SmartLab is a place where personalized learning and intrinsic motivation engage students of all ages, interests, and abilities,” said Jaidyn Sander, event coordinator and Elementary Education major at UJ. “We are so excited to welcome students from the community on to campus to experience new technology and make new friends.
Seating is limited to 10 students per camp. Registration is available on a first-come-first-serve basis at uj.edu/slc.
