ELLENDALE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 17 year-old male was seriously injured after a rollover crash north of Ellendale Saturday morning.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a suburban was traveling southbound on 89th Avenue SE when the driver lost control on the gravel roadway and overcorrected. The vehicle entered the east ditch and overturned, coming to rest in a field facing north just after 10:30 AM.

The driver was transported to Sanford Hospital in Aberdeen to be treated for his injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash is under investigation. The state patrol was assisted by the Dickey County Sheriff’s Department, Ellendale Police Department, Oakes Ambulance, and Ellendale Rural Fire.
