TOLNA, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals scored four runs in the top of the fourth and never looked back as they defeat the Mustangs of Midkota/Dakota Prairie/Griggs County Central/Lakota 8-4 on Friday night. Carrington improves to 7-2 overall and 5-1 in R3, Midkota drops to 3-6 overall and 1-4 in R3.
The Mustangs had a big sixth inning scoring four runs but otherwise they would be held scoreless. Hudson Schmitz picks up the victory on the mound working six innings. Ethan Buskness and Kael Kovar had two hits each for the Cardinals, Kovar knocked in two.
Next up for Carrington will be at home on Monday against Lamoure, KDAK will have the coverage starting about 350p pregame, 4pm first pitch.
