VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – All nine starters had at least one hit and West Fargo Sheyenne score 11 runs in the first three innings on the way to a 15-0 win over Valley City in Eastern Dakota Conference baseball Thursday night at Charlie Brown Field.

The Mustangs scored three in the first on a rbi triple by Lance Oster, and run scoring singles by Alex Urlaub and Coopr Borchardt.

Sheyenne scored four more in the second. Quade Peters had an rbi single. Urlaub drove in two with a single then scored on a wild pitch.

The Mustangs would get two, two-run singles in the top of the third to expand the lead to 11-0. Oster had one and Tate Gustafson had the other.

Braxton Jorissen, who came on to get the final out in the third, held Shyenne scoreless in the fourth, but they touched him for four runs in the fifth. A bases loaded walk to Evan Berg brought in one. Abe Hestdahlen had a two run single and Nolan Dodds had an rbi single to cap the scoring.

Quade Peters led the 16 hit attack by going 3 for 3 with three runs scored, a triple and an rbi. Nolan Dodds was 3 for 4 with two runs scored and an rbi. Alex Urlaub was 2 for 2 with three runs scored and 3 rbi. Brennan Haman was 2 for 3 with a run. Lance Oster was 2 for 4 with three runs scored and three rbi. Tate Gustafson, Cooper Borchardt, Evan Berg and Abe Hestdahlen all had a hit.

Ethan Miller, Alex Thornton and Joe Cummings had the hits for Valley City.

Oster was went four innings for Sheyenne. He allowed all three hits with no walks and 11 strike outs. Parker Oien pitched the fifth and struck out one.

Valley City is now 0-4 in the Eastern Dakota Conference and 0-8 overall. They head to Fargo to play South on Friday. Sheyenne will host Devils Lake for a double-header at Young Field.
